The classical score sounds great throughout.
This was one of my first purchases on blu. It shows a wide variety of life on our planet, ranging from the oceans, to deserts, to mountains, and jungles. The photography is amazing. It's impossible to talk about this set without using superlatives in fact.
Sometimes it seems as if the images aren't even from this planet. The sheer complexity of the life depicted makes the viewer feel very small and humble.
The set is narrated by David Attenborough, and his enthusiasm for the subject shines through.
This set is good as eye candy, but it's also informative for children and adults alike. You can't watch this without feeling strong emotions.
The current price of $49.99 is the lowest price I have seen for this set in Canada. You get 11 episodes of 50 minutes each, and every single one is interesting and bears repeat viewings. Everyone I have shown this to just sits there saying wow.
Buy it at this price while you can.
